Manam Chocolates ︎︎︎
2023
I was commissioned by Anomaly Brands, Bangalore to work on a set of five digital collages for Manam Chocolates. “Although India has been growing cacao for six decades, it is yet to be recognised as a source of fine flavour cacao...
Manam is a nod to our Indian roots — we see ourselves as farmers, fermenters, chocolate makers, chocolatiers and story tellers. We are a collection of craftspeople who keep solving problems, and keep learning.” says Chaitanya, Founder of Manam in The Hindu.
These artworks are inspired by the early photographic collage work of David Hockey. Each piece captures the process of harvesting and processing cocoa pods at different points in time. I play with perspective and quite literally ‘stitch’ together the lifecycle of Manam chocolates.
